Composition Overview



The tube expander consists of a base unit, column unit, guided tube expanding unit, electrical system, and pneumatic-hydraulic system. Its operation cycle is as follows: manual loading of workpieces into position → flip door rotation for workpiece installation → automatic completion of tube expansion, flaring, flanging, and tube expander reset → flip door reset → workpiece removal. 【Patent No.: 202023242990.X】
Base Unit
2.1 The base unit is mainly composed of a base body, hydraulic station, balanced ejection cylinder, workpiece clamping door, and receiver assembly.
2.2 The base body features large volume, heavy weight, and excellent stability, with a built-in hydraulic oil tank that offers large surface area and efficient heat dissipation.
2.3 The base body is integrally welded and machined, ensuring high rigidity and precision.
2.4 The hydraulic station is highly integrated and adopts air-cooled heat dissipation.
2.5 Two balanced ejection cylinders (one on each side) are reasonably configured.
2.6 The receiver is installed using a locking structure, enabling simple operation and convenient replacement.
Column Unit
3.1 The column unit mainly comprises a column body, main tube expanding cylinder, main cylinder transmission base, workpiece clamping door, tube expansion length adjustment mechanism, and escalator.
3.2 The column body is designed for high rigidity; the optimal frame structure is determined through multiple finite element analyses using 3D software, and residual internal stress is eliminated via secondary heat treatment.
3.3 The column body is integrally welded and machined, ensuring high precision.
3.4 The main tube expanding cylinder adopts multiple seals to prevent oil leakage.
3.5 The built-in main tube expanding cylinder effectively reduces the machine height.
3.7 The tube expansion length is controlled by a combination of a reducer and rotary encoder, with dimensions displayed on the human-machine interface (HMI). Adjustments can be made by directly inputting the required dimensions for automatic positioning.
Guided Tube Expanding Unit
4.1 The guided tube expanding unit mainly consists of a power base, expanding rod guide plate, flaring base, ejection base, expanding rod assembly, and guide pillars.
4.2 The power base is a key component for transmitting tube expanding force, equipped with an expanding rod mounting and locking plate and a flaring height adjustment mechanism.
4.3 The expanding rod adopts a double-locking mechanism, ensuring no detachment during operation and facilitating easy installation and removal.
4.4 The flaring height is controlled by a combination of a reducer and rotary encoder, with dimensions displayed on the HMI. Adjustments can be made by directly inputting the required dimensions for automatic positioning.
4.5 The expanding rod guide plate prevents bending of the expanding rod during normal tube expansion.
4.6 The flaring base is responsible for workpiece flaring and flanging, equipped with a flaring die mounting and locking plate and flaring dies.
4.7 The ejection base secures the workpiece when the expanding rod is withdrawn after tube expansion, equipped with an ejection sleeve mounting and locking plate and ejection sleeves.
4.8 The expanding rod is made of spring steel, precision-ground after quenching, offering excellent elasticity and high rigidity.
4.9 The expanding head is precision-ground after being die-cast from cemented carbide, ensuring wear resistance and high precision.
Electrical System
5.1 The electrical cabinet is external-mounted, and the operation panel is mobile.
5.2 The machine adopts integrated control with PLC, HMI, rotary encoders, and related electrical components, ensuring convenient and efficient operation.
Pneumatic-Hydraulic System
6.1 The pneumatic system mainly consists of air source purification components, pneumatic solenoid valves, cylinders, and other pneumatic elements.
6.2 Operating compressed air pressure: 0.6MPa (±10%).
6.3 The hydraulic system mainly comprises a motor, hydraulic pump, oil tank, hydraulic solenoid valves, cylinders, and other hydraulic components.
