Portable Expander

The tube expander consists of a tube expanding head, a flaring tool, a hydraulic station, an electrical control box, a gantry frame, and a balancer.

Tube Expanding Head

2.1 The tube expanding head is mainly composed of a machine body, a hydraulic motor, transmission gears, rolling gears, a clamp, an expanding mandrel, an expanding rod, an expanding rod limit seat, and a limit switch.

2.2 During operation, the clamp clamps the tube, the expanding mandrel is mounted on the expanding rod, and the hydraulic motor drives the expanding rod forward or backward through the transmission gear and rolling gear pair to realize tube expansion.

2.3 The machine body is integrally welded and machined, featuring high rigidity and precision.

2.4 A high-power hydraulic motor is adopted to ensure strong tube expanding force.

2.5 The transmission gears and rolling gears are made of alloy steel, subjected to carburizing, quenching, and gear grinding processes, resulting in excellent wear resistance, high transmission precision, and low noise.

2.6 The clamp is made of alloy steel, precisely machined by CNC equipment after surface carburizing and quenching, offering high wear resistance and precision.

2.7 The expanding rod is made of spring steel, precision ground after quenching, with good elasticity and high rigidity.

2.8 The expanding mandrel is precision ground after cemented carbide die-casting, ensuring high wear resistance and precision.

2.9 The tube expanding length can be adjusted by modifying the expanding rod limit seat on the expanding rod to adapt to different workpieces.

2.10 During tube expansion, when the expanding rod limit seat touches the limit switch, the hydraulic motor will automatically stop working.

Flaring Tool

3.1 The flaring tool is mainly composed of a hydraulic cylinder and a petal-type flaring head.

3.2 During operation, the hydraulic cylinder pushes the piston rod with a conical head to expand the petal-type flaring head for tube flaring.

3.3 The petal-type flaring head is made of spring steel, and imported SKD11 material is used for small-diameter tubes to ensure service life.

Hydraulic Station

4.1 The hydraulic station is mainly composed of an oil tank, an oil pump, an oil pump motor, a solenoid directional valve, a relief valve, and other hydraulic accessories. It provides hydraulic power for the tube expanding head and the flaring tool.

4.2 Air cooling is adopted to cool the oil temperature.

Gantry Frame and Balancer

5.1 The gantry frame and balancer jointly support the tube expanding head, enabling it to move up, down, left, and right smoothly, thus ensuring the smooth progress of tube expansion.
