Working principle of CNC ring-jointing machine

Nov 11, 2025

Based on the specifications of the wire thread insert being wound, select the matching lead nozzle, wire feed roller, intermediate guide plate, wire guide tube, and wire guide tip (all of which are engraved with diamond-shaped grooves of the corresponding specifications), and install them in their respective positions.

The diamond-shaped steel wire is drawn from the pay-off frame, straightened by the straightening mechanism, and then passes through the guide plate, the wire feeding wheel, the wire guide tube, and the wire guide nozzle. The cylinder of the pneumatic clutch wire feeding mechanism moves forward, causing the wire feeding wheel to press the diamond-shaped steel wire. The wire feeding motor rotates to feed the wire, and at the same time, the camshaft motor rotates, driving the wire feeding wheel mounted on the slider through their respective cams. The floating tip moves synchronously to the correct position. After the wire is fed to the correct position, the wire feeding cylinder retracts, causing the wire feeding wheel to release the diamond-shaped steel wire and stopping the wire feeding. The lifting motor descends, and after the front end of the mandrel is engaged with the diamond-shaped wire, the winding motor begins to rotate. During winding, the lifting motor and the winding motor rotate synchronously according to the specifications of the wire thread sleeve, in a certain proportion. The winding stops when 1.5 to 2 turns are reached. The grooving mechanism moves forward, and the pneumatic grinding machine drives the grooving knife to rotate at high speed. After reaching the correct position, the grooving groove is opened. After successful grooving, the grooving mechanism retracts, and then winding resumes. Once the set number of turns is reached, the machine lifts and lowers, and the winding motor reverses, causing the mandrel to exit the threaded sleeve. Next, the pneumatic clutch wire feeding mechanism's cylinder advances, pressing the wire feeding wheel against the diamond-shaped steel wire. The wire feeding motor then reverses, causing the tail section of the wire threaded sleeve to retract to the guide nozzle's outlet, where the cutting blade cuts it off. At this point, the complete winding process for one threaded sleeve is finished. The equipment has three modes: inching, manual, and automatic. After the equipment is properly debugged, the program can be stored in a computer. During automatic operation, the cam motor and lifting motor must first be reset to zero before automatically winding the wire threaded sleeve begins.
